The largest complaint I read about the 310 XT, aside from looking to big on small wrists, is that the band fails. If you read the forums, this failure is that the pin pulls out of the computer and makes it impossible to mount a new pin back into the computer. With that in mind, this is the reason for a four star review:The kit contains
(1) back plate that you mount with existing pins from the stock band.
(1) bike mount female mount to receive the mount above. This is the same as the bike mount for the 500 and 800 bike computers
(6) Rubber bands to secure the bike mount
(1) Female plate that you mount your stock 310xt watch bands on
(2) screws to mount the band to the plate above.
I have not had a failure of the pins yet on my computer. The new plate on the watch seems to limit movement to prevent failure. In theory, you could use some epoxy to mount the plate if you had to do so for your computer. When you try to mate the computer to the new watch plate, there is a great deal of twisting that takes place. I am afraid that the mount will be difficult in a race and will lead to failure in the long run. Also, for the "too big" crowd, the plate makes your computer sit higher on your wrist.
If you need a second bike mount, buy:
